Stat Line Of The Night — 11/12/12 — Brandon Jennings
Stat Line Of The Night — 11/13/12 — Anderson Varejao
While I prefer to only use players from winning teams for the “Stat Line of the Night,” it is tough to ignore the number put up by the Cleveland Cavaliers’ Anderson Varejao in a losing effort last night.
The Cavs’ center is having himself a career year, and it continued last night with a career game against the Brooklyn Nets, as he recorded a career-high in points, with 35. He would also add a game-high 19 rebounds to go along with three assists and two steals, but it simply wasn’t enough, as the Nets came away with the 114-101 victory.
Following that performance, Varejao is now averaging career-highs in points (15.9), rebounds (13.7) and assists (3.4). And he also earns “The Stat Line of the Night” for Tuesday, November 13, 2012.
