Stat Line of the Night — 11/28/2012 — Kevin Durant
James Harden returned to Oklahoma City for the first time since being traded to the Houston Rockets prior to the start of the 2012-13 NBA season, and just in case he forgot how great a player Kevin Durant is, his former teammate was kind enough to remind him last night.
While Harden was having a rough go against his former team, Durant was being his usual dominant self, as he dropped 37 points to go along with seven rebounds, four assists and a block. The Thunder were +16 in the 42 minutes that their all-star forward was on the court, and they would win by a similar margin, as they defeated the Rockets by a score of 120-98.
It may have appeared as though OKC made a mistake trading Harden at the beginning of the season after he recorded 82 points in his first two games with the Rockets, but his absence hasn’t slowed the Thunder down one bit, as they now 12-4 on the season. They have Durant to thank for several of those victories, including last night’s, as he earns “The Stat Line of the Night” for Wednesday, November 28, 2012.
