Stat Line of the Night — 12/04/2012 — Zach Randolph
The Memphis Grizzlies entered last night having won eight of their first nine games at home this season, and they continued their winning ways at the FedEx Forum on Tuesday night by handing the Phoenix Suns their fourth loss in a row.
Leading the way for the Grizzlies was Zach Randolph, who was an absolute monster at both ends of the court. The former Michigan State Spartan recorded season-highs in points (38) and rebounds (7 offensive, 15 defensive, 22 total), to go along with three blocks and one steal. That dominating performance from Randolph was enough to spark chants of “Z-Bo! Z-Bo!” from the crowd down the stretch, as the Grizzlies closed out their 108-98 victory.
With the win, Memphis increases their lead atop the NBA standings, as they move to 13-3 on the season. As for Z-Bo, he’s been having himself quite the 2012-13 NBA campaign. He has now recorded a double-double in 14 of the 16 games he’s played this season, he ranks second in the league in rebounding (13.3 rebounds per game), and he is an easy choice for “The Stat Line of the Night” for Tuesday, December 4, 2012.
