This Video of Fake NBA Trash Talking is Hilarious (Video)
The Basketball Jones Presents a Very NBA Christmas (Video)
The “Basketball Jones” video podcast, blog, and TV show has been cracking people up since it was founded as a regular old podcast by Tas Melas, J.E. Skeets, and Trey Kerby back in 2006. These days the show is a part of Canadian sports network The Score, but it’s still producing top-notch NBA-related content.
I mention all this because I want to give everyone involved in the following video the credit they deserve—because it’s hilarious.
You see, The Basketball Jones recently made a parody commercial for a fake Christmas album in which they change the words of popular Christmas songs to comment on and make fun of the NBA. Topics touched on include the Lakers’ poor start, the controversial benching of San Antonio’s starters for their game against Miami, and of course, the hilariously fragile Andrew Bynum, among others.
Oh, and there’s also a shout-out to those who celebrate Chanukah by way of a classic Adam Sandler song.
Check it out:
So what’s your favorite bit? Personally, mine is the burn of Miami Heat benchwarmer Joel Anthony.
In any case, if that doesn’t get you pumped for the NBA’s slate of Christmas Day games, I don’t know what will.
Oh, wait, yes I do: this.
