Stat Line of the Night — 1/1/2013 — Aaron Murray
Stat Line of the Night — 1/2/2013 — Tim Duncan
Upon first glance, it may appear as though LeBron James‘ 32 points, 12 rebounds, nine assists, three steals and one block qualify as the most impressive stat line from last night’s NBA action, but the Miami Heat superstar needed 42 minutes–including overtime–to record those numbers. As for Tim Duncan, he needed just 34 minutes to put up his 28 points, 13 rebounds, six assists, three blocks and one steal during the Spurs’ 117-110 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday night.
At the age of 36, Duncan hasn’t missed a beat this season. His 18.0 points per game average is his highest since he averaged 19.3 ppg during the 2008-09 season, while his 2.5 blocks per game represent his highest total since the 2004-05 season. His performance against the Bucks last night helped him improve his average in both of those categories, and it also earned him “The Stat Line of the Night” for Wednesday, January 2, 2013.
