Stat Line of the Night — 1/6/2013 — Anquan Boldin
The Baltimore Ravens played host to the Indianapolis Colts during yesterday afternoon’s highly anticipated AFC Wild Card match-up, and while most eyes were on Ray Lewis, who was playing in his final home game as a Raven, it was Anquan Boldin who was the star of the show.
Boldin hasn’t had all that much success as a Raven since joining the team in 2010, but he was their most dangerous offensive weapon on this day, as the former Pro Bowl receiver hauled in five receptions for 145 yards, including a remarkable catch on a game-clinching 18-yard touchdown that sealed the 24-9 victory for Baltimore in the fourth quarter.
With this being Ray Lewis’ final run at a Super Bowl, it was that much more important for the Ravens to get him the win. They did just that thanks in large part to Boldin’s performance, as he earns “The Stat Line of the Night” for Sunday, January 6, 2013.
