Red Wings’ Damian Brunner Scores a Brilliant Shootout Goal (Video)
The Detroit Red Wings may have a tough time making the playoffs this season following the retirement of their future Hall of Fame defenceman, Nicklas Lidstrom, but it doesn’t appear as though they will have any problems making highlight reel packages.
Before the lockout-shortened NHL season even began, Pavel Datsyuk was providing the hockey-loving world with another one of his dazzling shootout goals, as he scored a behind-the-back beauty during his final KHL regular season appearance. And less than a week after that goal, Datsyuk’s behind-the-back move was replicated to perfection by fellow Red Wing Todd Bertuzzi during a pre-season scrimmage.
And now, it is newcomer Damien Brunner showcasing his soft hands, as he helped the Red Wings earn the shootout victory over the Columbus Blue Jackets last night thanks to this Datsyukian deke.
