Katherine Webb and Ndamukong Suh to Appear On ‘Celebrity Diving’
When C-list celebrities like Terrell Owens and JWoww took their shot at diving earlier this month on FOX’s ‘Stars in Danger: The High Dive,’ only 3.4 million viewers tuned in. That led many to label the reality television show, and its concept, as a flop, but it seems as though the people at ABC saw potential, as they have since decided to try their hand in the realm of high-diving reality television.
Their show is called ‘Celebrity Diving,’ and in addition to borrowing the whole high-diving idea from Stars in Danger, they have also chosen to take the same route when it come to picking a cast.
The show, which will premiere March 19 on ABC, will be headlined by a group of C-List celebrities that include flavor-of-the-month Katherine Webb (better known by some as Bama quarterback A.J. McCarron‘s girlfriend) and Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh.
Webb made it big when she appeared on National Television during the BCS National Championship Game earlier this month and >made ESPN commentator Brent Musberger all giddy like a little school boy. She has since seen her popularity skyrocket, and has decided to translate her recent fame into a reality television appearance. Unfortunately for her, most of the general public will probably forget who she is by the time the show airs, but I’m sure that those who give Celebrity Diving a chance will quickly remember Webb’s name after seeing her in a bikini.
Here’s a sneak preview of what to expect, courtesy of TMZ:
As for Suh, his participation in the show has been questioned by some of his teammates, who feel as though the risk of injury simply is not worth it. However, his head coach, Jim Schwartz—who has somehow managed to hold onto his job—didn’t seem so concerned. When asked about whether he feared the possibility of Suh getting injured while taking part in the high-flying stunt, he responded by saying, “You’re going into water.”
Sorry Jim, but it’s not that easy. Just ask Greg Louganis—who, coincidentally, will be a judge on Celebrity Diving:
