Stat Line of the Night — 1/29/2013 — LaMarcus Aldridge
Stat Line of the Night — 1/30/2013 — Roberto Luongo
Roberto Luongo may be on the trading block, but if he continues to play like he has, the Vancouver Canucks may want to consider keeping him and trading Corey Schneider instead.
Luongo entered the game with back-to-back shootout losses, but he was able to limit the opposition to a very respectable two goals against in each of those contests. And last night he was even better, as he didn’t allow any goals against, stopping all 24 shots he faced during a 3-0 victory over the Colorado Avalanche.
The win was Luongo’s first of the season, and it improves his goals against average to a solid 1.61 (good enough for fourth in the league), while raising his save percentage to .938 (also good enough for fourth in the league). And to top it all off, he earns “The Stat Line of the Night” for Wednesday, January 30, 2013.
