Stat Line of the Night — 2/11/2013 — Byron Mullens
The Boston Celtics entered the week having won their last seven games in a row, and while few expected that winning streak to come to an end last night against the NBA’s worst team, the Bobcats’ Byron Mullens clearly had other ideas.
Charlotteentered the game with just 11 wins on the season, which is only four more than the amount of victories accumulated by the Celtics during their winning streak. But thanks to Mullens, who recorded game-highs in points (25) and rebounds (18), they were able to come away with the 94-91 victory—their 12th of the season.
Mullens has been one of the lone bright spots for the Bobcats this season, as the 23-year-old center has averaged 12.6 points and 8.1 rebounds per game thus far. And following last night’s performance, he earns “The Stat Line of the Night” for Monday, February 11, 2013.
