Tubby Smith and the Gophers Celebrate Big Win Over Wisconsin by Dancing to Kesha (Video)
There are a few things I’d enjoy less than listening to music by Kesha. Smashing my thumb in the car door comes to mind, or maybe taking a big swig of spoiled milk. However, for the Minnesota Golden Gophers basketball team, apparently, listing to Kesha constitutes a reward for a job well done.
I guess the Gophers and I will have to agree to disagree on that.
Anyway, last night Minnesota beat #20 Wisconsin 58-53 to improve to 18-7 overall and 6-6 in the Big Ten. Of course, after a very promising start, the Gophers have hit a bit of a rough patch since the beginning of conference play, so the victory still leaves them in the middle of the Big Ten standings. But you have to be happy any time you beat a ranked opponent. And coach Tubby Smith, his staff, and players were all very happy.
So they danced to Kesha.
Take a look:
As you can see, the 61-year-old Smith can still cut a rug. Sure, it may be with moves originated by MC Hammer back in 1989, but he can cut it.
