LeBron James Performs a 360°, Through-The-Legs, Off-The-Backboard Dunk in Warm-Ups (Video)
Sometimes I just don’t get LeBron James.
On the one hand, it seems as though he enjoys being in the spotlight (look no further than “The Decision”). However, there may be no larger potential spotlight for a gifted athlete like LeBron James than the one he would endure at the NBA’s Slam Dunk Contest. Yet, the reigning NBA MVP still chooses not to participate in the event.
Nearly ever star player that enters the league takes part in the dunk contest, including the likes of Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant. But not LeBron James. He’s been able to steer clear throughout his entire career.
Some may choose to defend King James by saying that he refuses to participate in order to avoid sustaining an unnecessary injury, but to them I ask jst one question: If LeBron James is afraid of getting hurt during a dunk contest, what is he doing performing 360°, through-the-legs, off-the-backboard dunks during warm-ups?
Yeah, you heard me. During the warm-up prior to last night;s game between the Heat and the Cleveland Cavaliers, LeBron James wowed those who arrived at the American Airlines Arena early for pregame warm-ups with a 360°, through-the-legs, off-the-backboard dunk.
Check it out:
That right there could have probably won him this year’s NBA Slam Dunk Contest.
So how about it LeBron? Why not give the fans what they want?
