Stat Line of the Night — 2/27/2013 — Stephen Curry
When picking a deserving candidate for the “Stat Line of the Night,” we often look at players who put up solid numbers for the winning team. But in Stephen Curry’s case, we’ll make an exception.
You see, during last night’s game against the New York Knicks, Curry not only delivered the best offensive performance of the night, but he actually delivered the NBA’s best offensive performance of the year. In 48 minutes of play, the Golden State Warriors’ guard recorded an NBA season-high 54 points. He also added seven assists, six rebounds and three steals, but it wasn’t enough on this night, as the Knicks still managed to escape with the 109-105 victory.
Following his 54-point performance, Curry has now scored 92 points in his last two games. Unfortunately for the Warriors, they haven’t been able to come away with the win in either of those contests, but on this occasion, that won’t stop us from awarding Stephen Curry with the “Stat Line of the Night” for Wednesday, February 27, 2013.
