Stat Line of the Night — 2/28/2013 — Joakim Noah
Stat Line of the Night — 3/3/2013 — LeBron James
For a brief moment during the third quarter of yesterday afternoon’s NBA match-up between the Miami Heat and the New York Knicks, Heat fans everywhere held their collective breath as they watched LeBron James lay on the court in pain after landing awkwardly following an alley-oop attempt. It appeared as though LeBron’s season, and the Heat’s championship aspirations, had come to an abrupt end in front of a sellout crowd at Madison Square Garden.
Thankfully, their fears were short-lived, as James returned to his feet and fueled his team’s comeback, scoring 12 of his 29 points in the fourth quarter, while adding 11 rebounds, seven assists, three steals and a block during Miami’s 99-93 victory over the Knicks.
With the win, the Heat extend their winning streak to 14 games, tying a franchise record. As for LeBron James, he earns the “Stat Line of the Night” for Sunday, March 3, 2013.
