Stat Line of the Night — 3/6/2013 — Kobe Bryant
Kobe Bryant went into last night’s game against the New Orleans Hornets with a nagging elbow injury. He came out of it with one of his most impressive performances of the season.
The Lakers trailed the Hornets by as much as 25 points, and with 6:22 remaining in the game they found themselves trailing by a score of 102-88. That’s when Bryant decided that it was time to cue the comeback, as he scored 13 points during a 20-0 Lakers run down the stretch to help seal the 108-102 victory.
When it was all said and done, Kobe Bryant finished the contest with 42 points, 12 assists, 7 rebounds and one block. Those numbers helped the Lakers move to within 1.5 games of the eighth and final playoffs spot in the Western Conference, and they also earn Kobe the “Stat Line of the Night” for Wednesday, March 6, 2013.
