Stat Line of the Night — 3/17/2013 — Monta Ellis
Putting up 25 points throughout the duration of an entire game usually won’t get you on our “Stat Line of the Night.” Putting up 25 points throughout the duration of a single quarter, on the other hand, will.
That is exactly what Monta Ellis did, as his 25 fourth-quarter points sparked the Bucks’ comeback from 11 down heading into the final 12 minutes. He would finish the night with a season-high 39 points to go along with six rebounds, five assists and three steals as the Bucks squeaked out the 115-109 victory.
With the win, the Bucks now sit a comfortable eight games up on the ninth-place Toronto Raptors for the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. As for Ellis, his fourth quarter performance earns him “The Stat Line of the Night” for Sunday, March 17, 2013.
