Stat Line of the Night — 3/18/2013 — LeBron James
There were several moments during last night’s game against the Boston Celtics when it appeared as though the Miami Heat’s 22-game winning streak was on the verge of ending. And it would have marked the second time since 2008 that the Celtics ended a team’s 22-game winning streak on March 18 (they did it to the Houston Rockets back in 2008). Pretty crazy stuff, isn’t it? Well, unfortunately for the Celtics, LeBron James wasn’t interested in watching history repeat itself.
Despite seeing his team trail by double-digits halfway through the fourth quarter, James was able to rally the troops for the win, as he recorded 37 points, 12 assists, seven rebounds, two steals and two blocks during the Heat’s 105-103 victory.
Sure, James’ 37 points may not have been a game-high (the Celtics’ Jeff Green scored 43), but they were enough to earn his team their 23rd consecutive win, while earning himself “The Stat Line of the Night” for Monday, March 18, 2013.
