One night after scoring 50 points and leading his team to a victory over the Miami Heat on Tuesday night, Carmelo Anthony and the New York Knicks traveled to Atlanta in search of their tenth straight victory.  And once again, they would get the win, thanks in large part to the impressive offensive output provided by Melo.

Anthony was on fire for a second straight night, this time scoring a game-high 40 points to go along with five rebounds and three assists.  He was a solid 17-of-27 from the field and 5-of-6 from the free throw line, and the result was an easy 95-82 victory for the Knicks.

With ten straight wins, the New York Knicks now sit in second place in the Eastern Conference.  That could set up an intriguing Eastern Conference Finals match-up between the Knicks and the Heat, should both teams make it though the first two rounds of the playoffs.  For now, Melo earns “The Stat Line of the Night” for Wednesday, April 3, 2013.
