Stat Line of the Night — 4/28/2013 — Clayton Kershaw
When Clayton Kershaw won the Cy Young award back in 2011, he put together a 21-5 record to go along with a 2.28 ERA. He still has a long way to go if he hopes to replicate that success in 2013, but after yesterday’s performance against the Milwaukee Brewers, he appears to be well on his way.
Kershaw was lights-out the entire afternoon, as he allowed just four hits, no walks and no earned runs over eight innings of work, while striking out 12 batters during the Dodgers’ 2-0 victory.
With the win, Kershaw now sits at 3-2 on the season with an impressive 1.73 ERA and 0.91 WHIP. And he also earns “The Stat Line of the Night” for Sunday, April 28, 2013.
