Stat Line of the Night — 4/29/2013 — Chandler Parsons
Even with Russell Westbrook out of the Oklahoma City Thunder’s line-up, the Houston Rockets still don’t stand much of a chance of coming back from 3-0 down to win their best-of-seven series against the Western Conference’s top-ranked team. But they can at least make things interesting with a few victories, and they got one of them last night at home, thanks in large part to the play of Chandler Parsons.
Using a short bench, Rockets head coach Kevin McHale was relying heavily on the services of Parsons in Game 4, and the small forward delivered. In 41 minutes of action, he accumulated 27 points, 10 rebounds, eight assists and one blocked shot, as Houston used a big third-quarter performance to help them escape with the 105-103 victory.
With the win, the Rockets live to see another day in the NBA Playoffs, but they may not see many more, as they must now travel back to Oklahoma City for Game 5 on Wednesday. If they hope to bring this series back to Houston, they’ll need another big game from Parsons, as he earns “The Stat Line of the Night” for Monday, April 29, 2013.
