Freddy Garcia vs Nats

After failing to record a win during his first four starts of the 2013 MLB season, it appears as though Freddy Garcia may be finally rounding into form, as he put forth his best performance of the season against the Washington Nationals last night, which resulted in a second consecutive victory for the 36-year-old righty.

Garcia dominated the Nats batters throughout the evening, allowing only three hits, no walks and no earned runs while striking out six over eight innings of work during the Orioles’ 2-0 victory.

In case you were wondering, Nats starting pitcher Dan Haren was also solid, allowing only two earned runs over the course of 7.1 innings, but it wasn’t enough to beat Garcia on this occasion, as he earns “The Stat Line of the Night” for Thursday, May 30, 2013.
