Turns Out One-Legged Soccer Brawls Are Just as Entertaining as Two-Legged Soccer Brawls (Video)
I’m going to be honest with you here: in most cases I do prefer watching regular two-legged soccer over the less common one-legged soccer. It’s not that I don’t respect the guys who play the game on one leg. It’s just that there is so much you can do in a kicking-based sport when you double the amount of legs.
However, while one-legged soccer is not as appealing as the two-legged variety in some respects, it is definitely more impressive in others. I mean, these guys are running around the field and kicking the ball while on crutches, which is pretty badass. Moreover, the guys who play soccer with just one leg certainly don’t suffer from a lack of intensity—and that sometimes leads to one-legged soccer brawls, which are also badass.
Take this recent one-legged soccer game between Belgium and the Netherlands, for example. At one point, a little altercation on the pitch evolved (or devolved, depending on your point of view) into a full-on brawl involving not only players, but coaches and fans as well. In fact, one two-legged observer even runs into the fray with a flying kick.
Take a look:
I have no idea what the guy interviewed at the 0:50 mark had to say, but it sure seemed like he was saying something to the effect of, “yeah, just part of the game.”
