Back when he was in his twenties and thirties, Julius Irving made a living in the ABA and NBA by utilizing the slam dunk on a regular basis.  In fact, many credit Dr. J with introducing the high-flying, slam-dunking style of play to professional basketball back in the 70s.

So, yeah, before Blake Griffin, LeBron James and Michael Jordan were doing it, Dr. J was doing it.

And in case you were wondering, the man is still doing it at the age of 63, albeit, not as emphatically as he used to.  Check it out:
