Stat Line of the Night — 6/20/2013 — LeBron James
Stat Line of the Night — 6/23/2013 — David Wright
The New York Mets are currently in the midst of another disappointing year, but they have still managed to produce a few bright spots during what has certainly been a season to forget thus far. One of those bright spots is 24-year-old pitcher Matt Harvey, who improved his record to 7-1 while lowering his ERA to 2.05 following yesterday’s 8-0 victory over the Philadelphia Phillies. As for the other bright spot in the Mets’ line-up, that would be third baseman David Wright.
Wright led the offensive charge, much like he’s been doing throughout most of the season for the Mets, as he belted two doubles, a triple and a solo home run in five at bats on the afternoon, leaving him just one single short of the cycle.
Wright also scored two runs and drove in another two, giving him 41 RBIs to go with 12 home runs and a .309 batting average on the season. And he earns “The Stat Line of the Night” for Sunday, June 23, 2013.
