Fox Sports Reporter Gets Unexpectedly Sacked on the Sidelines (Video)
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: it’s not easy being a sideline reporter. Not only do you have to be an eloquent speaker with a good understanding of the game you’re covering, but you also have to suck it up and take your licks (and unwanted kisses) from time to time.
The latest example of the perils of sideline reporting comes from an event called “The Opening.” It was a camp and competition for 150 of the country’s top college football recruits held last week in Beaverton, Oregon, and with so many future college football stars in attendance, Fox Sports Next sent reporter Amy Campbell and analyst Chad Simmons to cover the event.
Unfortunately for Campbell, while shooting a segment with Simmons with her back to the playing field, she got run over by Ermon Lane, a 6’3″ receiver being recruited by Alabama, Florida, and Miami.
It probably hurt.

Of course, like many successful sideline reporters before her, Campbell just shook it off and got back to work. Then she tweeted the following to show that she and Lane had made up:
