Since the former New England Patriots tight end was arrested for first-degree murder approximately one month ago, stories of his involvement in past fights and his potential involvement in previous unsolved murders have seemingly rolled out on a regular basis. These stories will certainly work against Hernandez when he is tried in court, and now there’s another piece of evidence that won’t help his chances of avoiding life in prison or the death penalty: images of Hernandez holding a gun both before and after he murdered Odin Lloyd.
The images were taken by Hernandez’s own surveillance camera at his home in North Attleboro, Massachusetts, during the night of the murder. It is believed that Hernandez killed Lloyd with a .45 caliber Glock, which hasn’t been recovered as of yet. And it is also believed that the gun Hernandez is holding in the pictures is the same Glock that was used during the murder.
Hernandez pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder. His probable cause hearing has been rescheduled for August 22, and if this latest piece of evidence is any indication, it doesn’t appear as though prosecutors will have any problems getting this case to court.
