Stat Line of the Night — 7/30/2013 — Freddie Freeman
The Atlanta Braves entered last night’s game against the Colorado Rockies with a four-game winning streak, and they left it with a five-game winning streak thanks in large part to Freddie Freeman‘s performance at the plate.
The All-Star first baseman stepped up to the plate five times on the evening, and two of those at bats resulted in home runs. Freeman would finish the game going 2-for-4 at the plate with a walk, four RBIs and three runs, as the Braves cruised to the 11-3 victory.
With the win, Atlanta extends their lead atop the NL East standings to 10 games. It has been quite the successful season for the Braves, and Freeman has been a big part of it, as his latest contribution earns him “The Stat Line of the Night” for Tuesday, July 30, 2013.
