With 35 players under par after the first round of the 2013 PGA Championship and two players—Adam Scott and Jim Furyk—recording rounds of 65, you might be tempted to assume that the Oak Hill Country Club in Rochester, New York, is quite the forgiving course. But you’d be wrong.
In addition to some narrow fairways, the par-70 course will also challenge players with its incredibly thick rough.
One man who was up to the challenge on Day One was reigning US Open champion Justin Rose, who took what may very well be the biggest divot we’ve seen out of the rough on the par-5 13th. Check it out:
