Awkward!: Motley Crue Song Starts Playing at Exact Moment J.J. Putz Throws His First Pitch (Video)
Did you ever notice how the start of Motley Crüe’s “Kickstart My Heart” kind of sounds like a deranged cow?
Well, you will now, thanks to one guy who works in the sound booth at Chase Field in Arizona.
On Saturday evening, Diamondbacks reliever J.J. Putz came on to work the top of the 9th inning against the Mets. It wasn’t exactly mop-up work, since the home team was only down 4-1. But it wasn’t exactly one of those pitching situations guys relish, either. Instead, it was just one of those situations bullpen guys have to deal with from time to time—get yourself all ready and do your best, even though it kind of doesn’t matter because there’s a 95% chance your team is going to lose anyway.
Unfortunately for Putz, his pitching appearance was made all the more challenging when the sound guy at the stadium accidentally started playing “Kickstart My Heart” at the exactly moment Putz was about to deliver his first pitch.

Yep, that was embarrassing. You have to give the guy some credit for owning up to it right away, though.
