If you own a fantasy football team, you’ve probably already heard the news: Tom Brady left the Patriots’ joint practice with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers earlier today because of a left knee injury.
The incident occurred during 11-on-11 drills, as Bucs defensive end Adrian Clayborn pushed Pats tackle Nate Soldier back into Brady, causing the two-time NFL MVP to go to the ground while clutching his left knee in pain—the same left knee that suffered the season-ending ACL injury during week one of the 2008 season.
That may have caused a serious panic in Patriot-land, but New England can now breathe a sigh of relief as ESPN’s Adam Schefter has reported that x-rays on Brady’s knee have come back negative and the Patriots are listing him as day-to-day.
