Two Fans Run onto the Field at Candlestick Park During Fourth Quarter of Niners-Vikings Game (Video)
Sunday night in San Francisco, the preseason game between the 49ers and Vikings was interrupted, not once, but twice in a span of 30 seconds on the game clock by fans running onto the field.
Now, I know we’re all supposed to make like this is some kind of disgraceful act of which we thoroughly disapprove, so let me just get that out of the way right now.
Shame on you, 49ers fans. Didn’t you think of the children?
There. Now that that’s out of the way, I can be real with you and admit that these fan interruptions were the only thing that made the fourth quarter of this preseason NFL game worth watching. By that point in the game, anyone you’d actually pay money to watch play football, such as Colin Kaepernick, was out of the game. Thus, viewers at home were surely starting to get itchy clicker fingers, eager to see if maybe they could find some golf highlights on some other channel, which probably would have been more interesting. But then, all of a sudden, fans run out onto the field, and NBC gave us a pretty decent look before cutting away to the blimp cam.
Take a look for yourself:
How terrible and disrespectful…and fairly entertaining.
