Stat Line of the Night — 9/3/2013 — Homer Bailey
Stat Line of the Night — 9/4/2013 — Pablo Sandoval
The 2013 MLB season has been quite the disappointment for the San Francisco Giants. Less than one year after winning their second World Series in three years, they find themselves at the bottom of the NL West standings. But Pablo Sandoval‘s performance last night should be enough to help them forget about this season’s struggles for at least a few hours.
Sandoval had what was easily his best game of the year, as he went 4-for-5 at the dish with three homers and 6 RBIs during the Giants’ 13-5 victory over the Padres.
With the win, the Giants now find themselves tied for last in the NL West with those very same Padres. This season couldn’t end soon enough for San Francisco, but as long as it’s still going on, Pablo Sandoval earns “The Stat Line of the Night” for Wednesday, September 4, 2013.
