People will do just about anything to get their hands on a souvenir baseball at a Major League Baseball game.  They’ll leap into bushes, put their children in harm’s way, dive over railings, or even steamroll a child if it means grabbing even the most meaningless ball that makes its way into the stands during a game.

We’ve seen the latter take place on several occasions before, and the latest instance of a grown man barreling over a kid for a souvenir baseball took place last night during a game between the Pirates and Cubs at PNC Park, as one dude couldn’t contain his excitement at the prospects of owning Darnell McDonald‘s ground-rule double ball, resulting in the following mishap:
