Stat Line of the Night — 9/12/2013 — Ryan Raburn
After losing two straight, the Cleveland Indians needed a win in their series opener against the White Sox on Thursday in order to keep pace in the AL Wild Card race. And they would get that win thanks to an offensive outburst that was led by Ryan Raburn.
The Indians’ left fielder had three hits and a walk in four at bats. Among those three hits was a three-run homer in the first inning, a double in the fourth, and a two-run single in the fifth. Raburn finished the game with two runs and five RBIs, as the Tribe cruised to the 14-3 victory.
With the win, Cleveland remains 1.5 games back of the Tampa Bay Rays for the final AL Wild Card spot. More performances like this one from Raburn would certainly help them close that gap, as he earns “The Stat Line of the Night” for Thursday, September 12, 2013.
