Stat Line of the Night — 10/3/2013 — Marc-Andre Fleury
Stat Line of the Night — 10/6/2013 — Peyton Manning
Yesterday’s match-up between the Denver Broncos and the Dallas Cowboys was an absolute barnburner, but in the end only one team can win and only one quarterback can earn “The Stat Line of the Night.”
That team and quarterback was not Tony Romo and the Cowboys, despite the former’s 506 passing yards and five touchdowns. Rather, it was Peyton Manning and the Broncos coming out on top on this occasion, thanks in large part to the “Sheriff’s” 414 passing yards, four passing touchdowns and one rushing touchdown. He’d go on to finish the game with a 129.6 passer rating during the Broncos’ 51-48 victory.
With the win, the Broncos improve to 5-0 on the season and their offense seems poised to rewrite the record books. As for their leader on offense, Peyton Manning, he earns “The Stat Line of the Night” for Sunday, October 6, 2013.
