Tomas Hertl Caps Off Four-Goal Game With Between-The-Legs Beauty (Video + GIF)
As we mentioned earlier in our “Stat Line of the Night,” Tomas Hertl became the youngest player in NHL history to score four goals in a single game last night when he led the offensive charge for the San Jose Sharks during their 9-2 victory over the New York Rangers.
What we failed to mention, however, is the manner in which Hertl capped off his four-goal performance.
With the Sharks leading 7-2 in the third period, Hertl was sent in on a breakaway against Rangers keeper Martin Biron, and he did this:
When asked about his four-goal performance and his through-the-legs maneuver during a post-game interview, Hertl seemed to be at a loss for words—probably because the Czech native can barely speak a word of English.
