Here’s Michelle Jenneke Breaking a Hurdle in Half on Game Show (Video)
In case you were wondering, no, the 15 minutes of fame awarded to Australian track athlete Michelle Jeneke are not yet up. At least, not in some parts of the English-speaking world.
The 20-year-old hurdler became an internet sensation when a video of her pre-race warmup dance went viral back in 2012, and she somehow parlayed that into an appearance in the 2013 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. In North America, that pretty much exhausted all the interest we had in her.
In Australia and the UK, however, she’s still a minor sports celebrity. And in that capacity she recently went on A League of Their Own, a comedy game show on Sky1. Her role on the show? Well, it seems as though she was supposed to run around in a circle, jumping over a moving hurdle. You know—because she’s a hurdler. Unfortunately, the sight of a rather pasty little man wearing especially short running shorts distracted her (understandably so) and caused her to break the hurdle.

It’s good to know the USA hasn’t cornered the market in riveting reality television, isn’t it?
