After losing two of their first four game this season, the Cincinnati Bengals entered week 7 having won two straight.  At 4-2, they were sitting atop the AFC North, and they would increase their lead over the Ravens and Browns with a victory over the Detroit Lions on Sunday.

Leading the charge for the Bengals’ offense was quarterback Andy Dalton, who completed 24 of 34 pass attempts for 372 yards, three touchdowns and zero interceptions.  He started off his day by hitting A.J. Green for an 83-yard touchdown on the Bengals’ opening drive, and he closed things out by setting up Mike Nugent‘s game-winning field-goal on the final drive of the game.

With the 27-24 victory, the Bengals now find themselves two wins up on the Ravens and Browns for top spot in the AFC North.  They are in a solid position to make their third straight playoff appearance thanks to Dalton’s performance, as he earns “The Stat Line of the Night” for Sunday, October 20, 2013.
