Red Sox World Series Celebration: Idiots Who Weren’t Flipping Cars Were Climbing Traffic Light Poles (Videos)
Boston Red Sox designated hitter David Ortiz hit .688 with two home runs, six runs batted in, and an otherworldly 1.948 OPS in the 2013 World Series.
Impressive? Absolutely. But for a bunch of drunk Sox fans partying in the streets near Kenmore Square after the Sox finished off the Cards and won the World Series, Big Papi’s exploits in the batter’s box were about as exciting as a bunch of idiots hanging from a traffic light and jumping into the crowd. We know this because the crowds cheered said idiots just as emphatically as they did any of Ortiz’s timely hits.
Nope, not kidding. Apparently some Red Sox fans decided to celebrate their team’s World Series victory last night by climbing traffic lights and jumping off into the crowd. And it delighted pretty much everyone.

I’d say these two people were hammered, only I don’t know if a really drunk person would have the motor skills required to make such a climb. So maybe they were just young and impressionable and caught up in the moment.
At least they were trashing themselves and not other people’s cars, right?
