Dolphins Win in Overtime on Cameron Wake Walk-Off-Sack (GIF)
Heading into last night, only two NFL games had ever ended in overtime on a walk-off safety. The first took place in 1989, when the Vikings defeated the Rams, 19-17. The second occurred in 2004, during a 23-21 victory for the Bears over the Titans.
And now you can add a third to that list.
With 6:38 left in overtime during last night’s Thursday Night Football match-up between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Miami Dolphins, Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton was sacked in his own end zone by Cameron Wake on 3rd & 10 from their own eight-yard-line.
Safety. Game over. Dolphins win, 22-20.

That safety from Wake ended the Dolphins’ four-game losing streak. He would finish the game with three sacks, two tackles-for-loss, five solo tackles, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery.
With numbers like that, it’s awfully hard to make fun of the dude for walking around in a sports bra after the game.
