Jesus Ran the New York City Marathon With His Cross (Photos)
According to Christians, Jesus Christ was capable of many things, like walking on water, healing the blind, and raising the dead. But could he run a 26.2 mile marathon in bare feet with a cross strapped onto his back?
Makoto Takeuchi of Chiba, Japan, set out to accomplish that Jeasus-like-feat during the 2013 New York City Marathon on Sunday, as the bearded man was seen running the race with a giant cross on his back. That odd and somewhat controversial scene was captured by hundreds of nearby cameras, resulting in the following images.
Jesus Makoto was only able to complete 10 of the 26.2 miles, as he was eventually stopped by police after creating a stir while running past a synagogue.
I guess evading law enforcement is one miracle that this Jesus isn’t capable of performing.
