LeBron James Gets Posterized by Jonas Valanciunas (Video)
Last night, the Miami Heat won their first road game of the year and pulled above .500—and yes, that sounds as crazy to me writing it as it does to you reading it.
They did it in Toronto, without the help of former Raptor Chris Bosh, but most definitely with the help of LeBron James. He led Miami to a 104-95 victory with 35 points, eight assists, and eight rebounds, which is probably why he’s the MVP.
However, it wasn’t all roses for LeBron. Amidst all the domination, he did get posterized by the Raptors’ Jonas Valanciunas.
Who? Jonas Valanciunas, the fifth overall pick of the 2011 draft. This is the 21-year-old Lithuanian’s second year in the NBA, and his first three games of the 2013-14 season were pretty ho-hum. But last night, against the Boshless defending champs, the center had 18 points, nine rebounds, one block, and this sweet dunk over King James:
I think it’s safe to say that was the highlight of this kid’s career. The Raptors, however, are hoping it’s just a sign of more good things to come.
