CBS Broadcasts Buffalo Bills Fan’s Horrifying Fall from the Upper Deck of Ralph Wilson Stadium (GIFs)
It’s certainly not easy being a Buffalo Bills fan. Everyone knows that. After four straight losing Super Bowl appearances to kick off the 1990s, the team hasn’t even been to the playoffs this millennium. That’s tough. Still, as depressing as Bills home games have been for the last decade and a half, I had no idea fans had become so bored that they’ve taken to performing death-defying stunts just to keep themselves entertained.
What the hell am I talking about, you ask? I’m talking about the Bills fan who decided to slide down a railing in the 300 level of Ralph Wilson Stadium yesterday—for fun, apparently—and fell off, plummeting to the level below.
The miraculous part? It’s not that the guy survived, although that is certainly something for which we are grateful (sadly, some people aren’t so lucky). No, the really miraculous part is that the fall was broadcast live on CBS. It appeared in the upper left hand corner of the screen as CBS was coming back from commercial at the start of the second quarter.
Take a look:
Like I said, the guy who fell actually survived. And judging from the pic somebody posted on Twitter, his injuries don’t even look that serious:
The crazy thing is, when this guy found out the Bills actually won the game, he probably thought the trip to the emergency room was totally worth it.
