Weightlifter Drops 545 Pounds On His Chest, Doesn’t Die (Video)

guy bench pressing 500 pounds drops weight on chest

Can you even fathom bench pressing 545 pounds? Do you think you even have any idea what 545 pounds feels like? Because I sure as hell don’t.

The guy you’re about to see in this video does, though. And he also knows exactly what it feels like when you drop 545 pounds on your chest—and walk away relatively unscathed.

I don’t know much about this guy or the video, other than that his name is Jake (thanks, camera lady!), he was competing in the American Powerlifting Federation’s 2013 Viking Challenge, and he obviously just ate a Butterfinger.

Take a look, and note the guy who thinks “the shirt protected him” at the 2:36 mark:

Yes, that’s right. HOLY $H!T indeed.

I don’t know what’s more impressive–actually doing a few reps of 545 pounds, or having that weight crash down on your chest and then just sitting up afterward like it’s no big deal.

Hat’s off to you, Jake. You are a badass dude.
