Stat Line of the Night — 11/19/2013 — Max Pacioretty
Stat Line of the Night — 11/20/2013 — Monta Ellis
Last night, during a Texas-sized battle between the Houston Rockets and the Dallas Mavericks, there were plenty of impressive lines filling the stat sheet. Two of those lines belonged to Dwight Howard (33 pts, 11 reb) and Dirk Nowitzki (35 pts, 7 reb, 4 ast), but neither of them would earn “Stat Line of the Night” honors. Rather, that designation belonged to Monta Ellis.
The Mavs’ guard was on fire versus his team’s instate rival, as he shot 72.2% from the field for 37 points. And he also added eight assists, two rebounds and two steals, leading the Mavericks to a close 123-120 victory.
With the win, the Mavs improve to 8-4 on the season, while Ellis is now averaging 23.3 points, 5.7 assists, and 3.3 rebounds per game with his new team. As for his latest performance, it earns him “The Stat Line of the Night” for Wednesday, November 20, 2013.
