Stat Line of the Night — 11/21/2013 — Jonathan Toews
Stat Line of the Night — 11/24/2013 — Philip Rivers
This edition of the “Stat Line of the Night” could have went to Knowshon Moreno of the Broncos (230 total yards, one touchdown) or Josh Gordon of the Browns (17 receptions, 237 yards, one touchdown), but both of their brilliant performance came in a losing effort. That leaves the door open for San Diego Charges quarterback Philip Rivers.
You see, Rivers also put together an incredible statistical performance, as he completed 27 of his 39 pass attempts for 392 yards and three touchdowns, but what set him apart from the likes of Moreno and Gordon was the fact that his Chargers came away with the 41-38 victory.
That victory was a big one for the Chargers (5-6), as it ties them with four other teams for the final AFC Wild Card spot. Equally big was the River’s performance, which helped the Bolts earn the win while earning himself “The Stat Line of the Night” for Sunday, November 24, 2013.
