Nick Foligno Pulls a Tomas Hertl, Scores a Between-the-Legs Beauty (Video)
Between the legs—that’s where all the cool kids are going in the NHL these days.
First, of course, it was the Sharks’ 19-year-old Tomas Hertl, who announced his entry in the NHL with a four-goal performance against the Rangers on October 8 that was capped by a ridiculous between-the-legs top shelf breakaway goal.
Then it was The Senators Clark McArthur, who dished a sweet between-the-legs pass to his teammate for a goal against the Wild on November 20.
Now it’s the Blue Jackets’ Nick Foligno. Last night, at home in Columbus against the Lightning, Ryan Johansen stole the puck off a Lightning player in the offensive zone and made a brilliant pass to Foligno, who then went between the legs to shoot the puck over the right pad of Tampa goalie Ben Bishop for the only goal of the game.
Was it as pretty as Hertl’s goal? Not quite. But impressive nonetheless.
Have a look:
So far this season Foligno has seven goals and is on pace for a respectable 24. However, when it’s all said and done, I think he’ll have a pretty easy time choosing his favorite, don’t you?
