Stat Line of the Night — 12/2/2013 — Russell Wilson
Stat Line of the Night — 12/3/2013 — Michael Carter-Williams
Last night’s double-overtime thriller between the Orlando Magic and the Philadelphia 76ers saw a few players put up some noteworthy performances.
For starters, there was the Magic’s Arron Afflalo, who scored a game-high 43 points to go along with six rebounds and five assists. And then there’s his teammate, rookie guard Victor Oladipo, who produced the first triple-double of his career with 26 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists. Both are impressive stat lines, but neither were as impressive as the line put forth by the 76ers super-rookie, Michael Carter-Williams, who had a triple-double of his own with 27 points, 12 rebounds, and 10 assists during the 76ers’ 126-125 victory.
Carter-Williams and Oladipo combined to make history, as they became the first pair of rookies to record triple-doubles in the same game. It’s an impressive feat for both individuals, and it earns Carter-Williams “The Stat Line of the Night” for Tuesday, December 3, 2013.
