Last night’s Ohio River Rivalry wasn’t exactly another Iron Bowl, but it was still pretty damn good. For the second straight year, the battle between the Louisville Cardinals and Cincinnati Bearcats went to overtime, and for the second straight year the Cardinals came away with the victory.

So what made this game so exciting, other than the close score? That would be the remarkable play of Louisville quarterback Teddy Bridgewater. Trailing the Bearcats 14-10 heading into the fourth quarter, Bridgewater led the Cardinals on not one but two game-saving scoring drives. And the touchdown play that capped the first of those is a pretty good candidate for the college football play of the year.

With 8:08 left in the game, Bridgewater scrambled around and avoided tackles before slinging an off-balanced pass to Damian Copeland to make it 17-14 Louisville.
