Paul McCartney Was at the Nets Game Last Night, and He REALLY Wanted that Free T-Shirt (GIF)
When you’re a billionaire, you can pretty much have anything you want as soon as you realize you want it. Want an iPad for your cat? Get it. Like that Rolex? Buy it! It’s only $8,000.
On the one hand, this sounds kind of awesome. On the other hand, it does make you wonder: when you are that rich, do you lose a lot of life’s simple pleasures? I mean, just think about what it’s like when someone gives you a gift you wouldn’t have gotten yourself because it’s too expensive and/or you don’t really need it. It feels awesome, right? So, if you’re a billionaire and you can have anything you want, do you still feel that warm fuzzy feeling?
Well, apparently the answer is yes. At least, it is for Paul McCartney. The former Beatle is quite possibly the most acclaimed and successful musician of the last 100 years, having written such songs as “Hey Jude” and “Yesterday,” and he was the first rock star whose net-worth reached the $1,000,000,000 mark. However, last night Sir Paul was at the Brooklyn Nets game at the Barclay’s Center, and he really wanted one of those free t-shirts the dancers throw into the crowd.
I mean, he really wanted it.
Obviously, Paul’s money can’t buy everything. Sure, it can buy a Nets t-shirt. Hell, it can buy the Nets. But it can’t buy the thrill of catching a free Nets t-shirt thrown into the seats.
